A blend of rums aged 3 to 6 years with more gourmet notes than the VO. The Dark Sail cuvée pays tribute to Jean-Antoine Aimé-Noël (1769–1845), an iconic figure from Guadeloupe. A free Black man living during the era of slavery, this fisherman is still famous for his immense fortune. Legend has it that he discovered a treasure at sea, off the coast of Basse-Terre, whilst aboard his ship with black sails. It was this hoard that enabled him to purchase the Bologne distillery in 1830, an estate where his grave still lies today.

Color : Robe ambrée aux reflets dorés.

Nose : Highly sweet with a crème brûlée aroma. It features notes of chocolate and sweets, which develop into rich, indulgent notes of mocha and coffee with a rounded finish.

Palate : A standout product in the range, offering an aromatic bouquet that sets it apart from other aged rums from Bologne. The oaky character comes to the fore, revealing that part of the blend has been aged in American oak casks. There are indulgent notes of chocolate.

Overall : A long finish with a distinct retro-olfactory effect, marked by a hint of coffee and mocha.
