    Since 2019, the distillery has been named after the village where it is located: Lochranza. Equipped with two wash stills and two spirit stills with a capacity of 7,100 liters and 4,300 liters respectively, it has six on-site warehouses containing approximately 22,000 barrels—a major asset for mastering optimal aging conditions. Following the magnificent Arran 14 Year Old from our Foundations catalog, which ventured into the world of great white wines, this new release impresses with its elegance and depth. It accurately evokes a Grand-Bas-Armagnac, both in its maturity and the complexity of its aromatic and flavor palette, marked by notes of dark chocolate, prune, and rancio.

    Color : vieil or à reflets orangés.

    Nose : Fine, elegant. Citrus fruits (orange, mandarin), salted butter caramel, chocolate, heady aromas (carnation, lily), and sweet spices (fresh ginger, cinnamon) form an olfactory ensemble that is both subtle and concentrated. Then, aromas of dried fruits (fig), freshly malted barley, prune, and tiger balm create a second tableau brimming with vitality.

    Palate : Lively, precise. Revealing new citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), the taste palette is also marked by flavors of dark chocolate whose beautiful bitterness gives it enormous freshness and length. Gradually, notes of biscuit, oat cake, and gingerbread highlight its gourmet evolution.

    Overall : Rich, smooth. With its great fullness, it invites us to delight in flavors of zucchini flower fritters, pumpkin, praline, and calisson d'Aix, absolutely delicious. At once heady (hyacinth, tuberose) and roasted (coffee), the retro-olfaction and the empty glass demonstrate remarkable complexity.
