PROFILE : This single malt reveals a complex and assertive profile, featuring peated, chocolate, malty, medicinal and ashy notes. Crafted from peated barley imported from Scotland and boasting a phenol level of around 30 ppm, this cask strength bottling was matured in a bourbon cask.

Nose : Rich and complex. Peaty, chocolatey, and malty, the initial nose also reveals remarkably smooth notes of zan. As it breathes, the aromatic profile becomes fruity (orange, banana, mango), medicinal (arnica), and ashy. Then, notes of iris, violet, and lavender highlight its heady evolution.
Palate : Vivid and straightforward. As influential as ever, the peat takes on root-like (ginger, gentian), earthy, and salty notes. Quickly, however, the flavor profile picks up the exotic accents of the nose—marked by mango and persimmon—to which chocolate and apricot nuances are added. On the finish, flavors of marshmallow, cough drops, and cloves interplay in a lively exchange.
Overall : Smooth, full-bodied. With notes of medicine (Tiger Balm), spice (paprika), camphor, and minerals (slate), it showcases a peat rich in mineral salts that has dried out. Refreshed by citrus zest (orange, pink grapefruit), the finish is gradually enveloped by intense smoke, soot, and animal (bacon) and gamey notes.
