This is issue 1 of Fine Spirits, the first French magazine devoted 100% to spirits. Since Whisky Magazine opened its doors to fine spirits in September 2010, more and more of you have taken an interest in rum, cognac, calvados and armagnac, as well as gin and tequila. Cocktails have also taken on an important role in the world of tasting, whether at home or in one of the many bars that have sprung up in Paris and the provinces. So it was time to go one step further and give fine spirits all the visibility and recognition they deserve. As a result, Whisky Magazine is back to being 100% whisky, at a time when the pressure on stocks has never been so great, resulting in the necessary disappearance of age-counting and higher prices. Faced with such a challenge, brands are still hesitating as to which strategy to adopt. But we're tempted to think that it's better to be radical, even if it means educating people. Whisky Magazine and now Fine Spirits are also there to help.
