Qu'est-ce qui rend Tohi spécial ?
- Je voulais créer un gin qui soit reconnaissable les yeux fermés, lorsqu'il est mélangé avec n'importe quel tonic. Cette idée m'anime depuis le premier gin.
Quel est votre cocktail préféré ?
- J'ai le goût du sucré. Je suis toujours partante pour les gin sours !
Comment êtes-vous devenu distillateur ?
- J'ai travaillé dans la restauration toute ma vie. J'aime tout ce qui se passe en cuisine. J'avais envie de m'étendre aux "coulisses" du gin, mon spiritueux préféré.
Les meilleures histoires commencent, ou du moins finissent, par un coup de foudre ? On peut aussi tomber amoureux du... gin. Ajoutez une pincée de courage, la chasse aux nouveaux goûts et voilà : Les gins TOHI sont nés. Les gins sont fabriqués de manière artisanale en Estonie, dans l'ancienne distillerie du manoir de Tohisoo, qui date du 19e siècle. Des décennies tumultueuses ont vu ici une distillerie, une usine de cuir et depuis 2019 - une distillerie de gin. Que signifie "TOHI" ? En estonien, cela signifie aussi "pourquoi pas" ou "vous pouvez".
