Made from rye and aged in bourbon barrels. From a distillery that dares to break with tradition, discover the rebellious charm of this outsider: the very first bottling of Single Grain Scotch Whisky made from rye. Born from a daring experiment conducted in 2016 using the Teaninich distillery's mash filter, this exceptional whisky combines malted rye and barley with aging in bourbon barrels. This 8-year-old Teaninich reveals intense flavors of spicy and caramelized sweetness, supported by deep notes of cinnamon and cloves. An atypical and wonderful taste that proves fortune favors the bold.

Nose : Vegetable and spicy, with an apparent sweetness but a marked hint of spice. Tart notes reminiscent of sour candies, which round out into fudge before evolving into herbaceous and woody nuances, almost fragrant.

Palate : Light and creamy, dominated by vanilla and a delicate acidity. Herbaceous notes develop in the background. With a little water, the whole becomes sweeter and reveals more wood.

Overall : Rather short but lively, marked by a distinct spice and a touch of dried coconut. A dash of water softens the whole while accentuating the spices.
