Since 1950, the Tamdhu distillery has malted all of its barley using the Saladin mechanical process (malting boxes). This version, aged in second-fill sherry casks, is reminiscent of the exceptional 1970 from the Rare & Old range bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at the dawn of the 2000s. Less marked by sherry, this 1971 is, on the other hand, spicier and more heady.
