Aged for five years in the tropical climate in ex-cognac casks and then for three years in a continental climate, including two years in oloroso sherry casks, this rum has a character that is both vibrant and refined. The freshness of citrus and dried fruit blends beautifully with the warmth of wine, subtle oak and delicate spices. A unique expression that captures the best of both casks and the rich identity of its origin.
Nose : Fresh hay, zesty lime, delicate oak, green sultana raisins, white peach, and a touch of white chocolate.
Palate : Juicy and warm with a vinous character. Notes of cognac from the cask come through clearly, balanced by black olives, grapefruit zest, and a medley of aromatic spices.
Overall : Spicy and warm rounding out into a light and smooth finish.
