Rowan's Creek Small Batch Bourbon is part of the Small Batch Boutique Bourbon Collection launched in the 90's by the Willett distillery, just like Kentucky Vintage Small Batch Bourbon, Pure Kentucky XO Small Batch Bourbon or Noah's Mill Small Batch Bourbon.
In the 2010's, it was the best-selling brand produced by Willett.

It is named for the creek which runs through the grounds of the site's distillery. The creek, in turn, is named after John Rowan, a statesman in Kentucky during the late 1700s and early 1800s, whose mansion is said to have inspired the Stephen Foster song My Old Kentucky Hom.

From a mashbill composed by 72% Corn, 13% Rye and 15% Barley, Rowan's Creek is produced with barrels aged for 5–15 years and is hand-bottled at 50.05%. (100.1 U.S. proof).

Rowan's Creek was awarded a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competitions in 2005 and 2011.

Nose : Nose is caramel and vanilla layered on intense aroma of herbal, floral and spicy notes with eucalyptus and white pepper.

Palate : On the palate you are treated to elegant, full and spicy notes with caramel and vanilla. Dusted in floral notes, the mouth is also becoming more fruity and complex on apricot and cigar box feeling.

Overall : With finishing notes of cedarwood berries and fresh mint on a lingering spiciness.
