LONG POND 24 ans 1998 ITP Rest & Be Thankful

This rum was distilled at the famous Long Pond distillery in Jamaica. It bears the ITP mark, which means, among other things, that it was distilled in an iron still and that the target level of esters leaving the still is between 90 and 120 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Distilled in 1998, this rum was aged for over 24 years in American oak casks, initially in a tropical climate, before being transported to Scotland for the second part of the ageing process. 150 bottles were bottled in Scotland in February 2023. Non-chill-filtered, no colourants and unfined.
