Color : Rouge

Nose : full-bodied, complex. The absolutely remarkable first nose reveals aromas of brandied cherries, dried apricot and toffee. A subtle combination of freshness and oxidation, the aroma palette develops very distinguished strawberry notes. Also mineral (slate, clay), its constantly changing rancio character allows the development of succulent chocolate aromas and new fruits (prune, bramble).

Palate : taut, lively. Characterised by notes of dried fig, the attack is as precise as a razor’s edge. The remarkably beautiful mouthfeel is velvety (taffetas). Closely linked to the nose, the mid-palate wavers between flavours of vine leaf, black grape, red fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant) and exotic fruits (mango, persimmon, guava). The expressive end of the palate is as though in the middle of the grape harvest.

Overall : long, fresh and wonderfully well-balanced, the start of the finish is jammy (strawberry, cherry), powdery (cocoa) and delicately spicy (cinnamon). Lingering on the end of the finish is more candied (apricot, pear) as velvety tannins contract the palate. Recreating the rustic character of a wine-growing landscape where humankind is viscerally rooted to its terroir, the retro-nasal olfaction continues on Indiafinitely. The empty glass is candied (date, fig, apricot).
