Nose : A powerful aroma of coastal peat immediately takes center stage: salty, tarry, and medicinal, evoking sea spray, coal smoke, and weather-beaten ropes.

Palate : Full-bodied and assertive in texture, it is at once creamy, dense, and delicately peppery. The first-fill oak immediately reveals its indulgent flavors of salted butter caramel, smoked apple, and toasted coconut, quickly joined by notes of praline and vanilla cream. Then the peat gradually intensifies: earthy and deeply charred, it envelops the palate in a dry smoke with ashy undertones. Citrus oils and a mineral salinity cut through this smoke with precision, bringing tension, freshness, and vibrancy.

Overall : Long, dry, and remarkably persistent. The sweet malty notes, delicate floral nuances, and vanilla slowly fade, giving way to earthy smoke and a pronounced maritime salinity. The peat lingers on the palate, revealing a savory, warm, and intensely evocative character. A deep and memorable finish, marked by that inimitable smoky signature that defines Octomore’s identity.
