NINE LEAVES 9 ans 2017 Ex-White Wine Cask - Five of Kotsu

JAPANESE RUM : Nine Leaves 9 Year Old 2017 is a black sugar rum from Japan.

PROFILE : This rum reveals a rich, deep profile, featuring fruity, caramelised, chocolatey and spicy notes. Made from kokuto black sugar, this bottling undergoes a four-day fermentation, is distilled in a pot still and matured in a cask that previously contained a white wine from the Californian estate Wente Vineyards.

DID YOU KNOW? Following the closure of the distillery in 2023, Velier bought all the remaining stocks to preserve its heritage, adorning each bottling with an illustration taken from Unsun Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game from the Edo period.
