JAPANESE RUM : Nine Leaves 8 Year Old 2018 is a black sugar rum from Japan.
PROFILE : This rum reveals a rich and complex profile, featuring powdery, herbaceous, spicy, lemony, vanilla and liquorice notes. Made from kokuto black sugar, this bottling was distilled in a pot still and matured in a japanese mizunara oak cask.
DID YOU KNOW? Following the closure of the distillery in 2023, Velier bought all the remaining stocks to preserve its heritage, adorning each bottling with an illustration taken from Unsun Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game from the Edo period.
