JAPANESE RUM : Nine Leaves 11 Year Old 2015 is a black sugar rum from Japan.
PROFILE : This rum reveals a concentrated and herbal profile, featuring floral, rancio, spicy, honeyed and empyreumatic notes. Made from kokuto black sugar, this bottling undergoes a four-day fermentation, is distilled in a pot still and fully matured in a French oak cask.
DID YOU KNOW? Following the closure of the distillery in 2023, Velier bought all the remaining stocks to preserve its heritage, adorning each bottling with an illustration taken from Unsun Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game from the Edo period.
