    JAPANESE WHISKY : Miyagikyo 2015 is a single malt from Sendai in Japan.

    PROFILE : This single malt reveals a fresh and suave profile, featuring notes of vanilla, white and tropical fruit, noble spices and citrus fruit. This single cask No. 11621 was matured in a reconditioned puncheon cask and bottled at cask strength.

    ARTIST : Released by La Maison du Whisky for the Les Anthologistes Collection, the Artist Nikka Whisky range brings together for the first time the two distilleries of the historic Japanese brand, with labels illustrated by Japanese artist Yoshiki Hase.

    Color : jaune doré soutenu

    Nose : Delicate, complex. Underpinned by notes of wax and acacia honey, aromas of exotic fruits (banana, pineapple) initially dominate the nose. As it breathes, the aromatic profile becomes more infused with notes of sage and verbena, along with hints of vanilla, spice (pepper, ginger), mint, and flowers (iris, hyacinth).

    Palate : lively, dynamic. A melting pot of white fruits (pear, apple, grape, peach), the flavor profile gradually takes on particularly delicious citrus and exotic nuances (yellow kiwi, lychee). Growing increasingly indulgent (vanilla flan, pecans), it radiates elegance and presence.

    Overall : full-bodied, refined. Pleasant flavors of coconut, almond milk, fresh walnuts, and candied fruits (pear, mirabelle plum, grapefruit) prolong the sensation of well-being in the mouth for a long time. On the retro-olfaction, oregano, alfalfa, and malted barley grains create a herbaceous interlude full of freshness.
