NIKKA FROM THE BARREL
CUBE GIFT SET 2 GLASSES & POURER

In 1985, Nikka Whisky created Nikka From the Barrel, an iconic whisky from the House of Nikka. An exceptionally complex blended whisky, it was crafted for its richness and depth of flavour. It dares. It challenges. It commands attention.
Beyond the bottle itself, this set offers a true tasting experience. The two highball glasses reflect Japanese cocktail culture, where whisky, served over ice and topped with sparkling water, reveals a fresher, lighter expression. A style of serving that is now gaining popularity across Europe, highlighting all the aromatic richness of Nikka From the Barrel. Complete with a pourer, the set comes ready for gifting and for mixing your first highballs.
The distinctive character of Nikka From the Barrel lies in an exceptionally complex blend of more than one hundred meticulously selected whiskies. This iconic expression primarily showcases two distilleries founded by Masataka Taketsuru, the founding father of Japanese whisky, who trained in Scotland: Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Grain whiskies distilled in Miyagikyo’s Coffey stills bring roundness and balance to the blend.
Predominantly matured in bourbon casks, the whiskies are then blended and undergo a process known by Nikka Whisky as “marriage”, carried out at the Tochigi maturation facility.
Following this process, the whisky is bottled at 51.4% ABV, a high alcoholic strength equivalent to 90 proof under the former British system, which remained in use until the 1980s. This strength lends the whisky remarkable aromatic richness and intensity.
