Single Malt Komagatake is produced at the Mars Komagatake Distillery, located at the foot of Komagatake Mountain in the Central Alps, surrounded by abundant nature with fresh air and water gifted from the mountains.
Mars Komagatake Distillery restarted its production in 2011 after 19 years of mothballing. They have aged whiskey and checked them carefully since then.
Komagatake Single Malt "Edition 2023" is a step more complex than previous editions. It is made mainly from bourbon barrels aged whisky, accented with sherry casks aged whiskey and port casks aged whisky. This product is created under the concept of Mars Komagatake Distillery: Clean and Rich.

Color : Vieil or cuivré.
Nose : The fruity notes of apricot, orange peel and banana is followed by an elegant and deep aroma reminiscent of black tea.
Palate : Elegant introduction with the taste of dried plum, when comes up rich and complex flavors derived from sherry casks. Hints of hazelnut and maple syrup brings structure while we feel a gentle sweetness spreading from ripen peaches.
Overall : The impression is rich and full. Smooth and pleasant taste linger.
