Mars Komagatake is a Single Malt from the Mars Komagatake distillery, located in the Nagano region, at the heart of the Japanese Alps. This expression is aged in the Komagatake warehouse, at 800 meters above sea level.  Minami Brewery crafts beer right next to the distillery, actively using locally sourced ingredients to make delicious brews. In 2023, Mars experimented again using their excellent used beer casks (India Pale Ale) to the whisky’s finish, adding a unique flavor, highly anticipated by connoisseurs.

Color : Robe brunie.

Nose : A refreshing citrus and herbal scent that enlivens the summer mood derived from hops. Later, the barrel-derived vanilla has a faint scent.

Palate : Malt and herbs feeling with citrusy palate on grapefruit and orange.

Overall : A sweet to bitter finish. Slightly vanilla-like sweetness and spiciness lingers at the end with an edge of beer.
