The Macallan Double Cask 18 Year Old, a perfectly balanced single malt whisky aged for 18 years in European and American sherry oak casks. The American oak adds delicate vanilla notes and the European oak adds supreme spice notes, giving a whisky with a smoother, warmer taste and character. Two oaks, creating the perfect harmony in an exceptional single malt whisky. Our Double Cask whiskies are aged in two types of oak, in specially selected craft casks prepared with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak delivers delicate flavours of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch. European oak delivers the unmistakable subtle spice of The Macallan. At the end of the maturation period, two exceptional whiskies come together to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.
