LINKWOOD 25 ans Gordon & Macphail

Elegance and restraint in this superb 25 year old version of Linkwood. Used to the first fill sherry butt versions, all prune and rancio, this bottling is a break with these classic Gordon & MacPhail bottlings. Less sherry and it is the character of the distillery that expresses itself: a lot of citrus and floral freshness, heady. Red fruits, blackcurrant, morello cherry, with malted barley and pastry notes in the background. Coffee, honey and finally some ranciot notes that emerge with "icing on the cake", a note of passion fruit. Great art!
