Legend has it that over 2000 years ago, the Romans in Cartagena (Spain) discovered a golden elixir made from local fruits and plants brewed by the region’s inhabitants. Today, this liqueur lives on. Although the recipe remains secret and unchanged in years, it would seem that Licor 43 is made by macerating 43 ingredients (Mediterranean spices, fruits and herbs) in a neutral spirit to lend the liquid its beautiful golden shade and aromas of caramel, vanilla and honey. _x000D_
