Lagavulin 12-year-old 12th Release, cask strength, is the best-known and most affordable cuvée in the Special Releases range of whiskies. Matured in bourbon casks and bottled without reduction, it is a fairly soft, honeyed whisky – given its high alcohol strength – marked by floral notes that mingle with the usual peat, along with citrus, salt, spices and green apples. A limited edition.
