Nose : Rich, expansive. Right from the start, a peat with smoky, ashy, and rooty (gentian) accents takes center stage. It sits side by side with candied citrus and white fruits (pear, plum). This lively opening gradually gives way to vibrant aromas of coconut milk, fresh walnut, white mint, and wildflowers.
Palate : Full-bodied, concentrated. Radiant with light, the palate accentuates the rustic and herbaceous character of a peat laden with mineral salts. Becoming drier and more crumbly, it is further embellished by lemony, resinous, and gently spiced (ginger, clove) flavors.
Overall : Luminous, luscious. Tinged with exoticism (pineapple, banana), it reveals itself to be milky in turn (almond, coconut), honeyed (acacia), and floral (iris, lily). Expressive and generous, the finish presents the spectacle of freshly cut peat blocks drying under a brilliant sun.
