PROFILE : This single malt reveals an intense and serene profile, featuring apricot, tropical fruit, medicinal, chocolate and rancio notes. Crafted from Concerto barley, this cask strength bottling was matured in a sherry oloroso cask.

Color : cuivre orangé.

Nose : Subtle, complex. Apricot-driven, exotic (mango), medicinal (balm), and camphoraceous, the nose is impressively voluptuous. With aeration, aromas of incense, flowering geranium, and wild strawberry drift through, transporting us into increasingly lush and heady realms (varnish, iris concrete).

Palate : Delicate, supple. A delicious invitation to savor carrot cake, it is also defined by intense flavors of cinnamon and dark chocolate. Then comes a change of scenery: quince jelly and mango coulis flood the palate, imparting wonderful freshness to the back palate.

Overall : Noble, stately. Initially balsamic (Oregon pine), sooty (soot), and herbaceous (tobacco, cut hay), it gradually yields to an abundance of dried fruits (fig, date, currant). On the retro-olfaction, lovely rancio notes (cherries in eau-de-vie) underscore the fine influence of the Oloroso sherry.
