Nose : A remarkable nose, on toffee, cinnamon and marzipan. Oak and spices bring depth.
Palate : The start is exquisite with a full and round feel. The flavor integration in Johnny Drum is truly remarkable, with the cinnamon notes literally wrapped in the caramel notes. It's a level of complexity and flavor that few whiskeys in this class can match. In the mid-palate, Johnny Drum expresses a completely different aromatic palette with fruity and spicy notes becoming more predominant as the caramel becomes softer. In addition to cinnamon, we distinguish allspice, clove and oak.
Overall : The finish is long, spicy and slightly dry yet rich, with wonderful balance.
