A true invitation to travel and discover new flavours, "The Elixir Trail" range explores terroirs from all over the world through bottlings that capture the unique identity of each origin, meticulously selected by international expert Sukhinder Singh. It is at the heart of this prestigious collection that this Jamaican "Single Pot Still" rum takes its place, distilled in 1998 in a parish located in the very south of the island. Produced to the MMW marque (production recipe) in a retort pot still, it features a moderately high ester count. This spirit has spent its entire 27-year maturation in refill bourbon barrels, benefiting from both tropical and continental aging.

Nose : Very approachable with a moderate funk as we approach heavier Jamaica territory. Aromas of banana pancakes and grilled pineapple mingle with hints of peach.

Palate : Fresh and zingy, this rum is very bright and alive for its age. It looks and feels like a much younger rum, but with the sophistication of a spirit that has had almost 30 years to mature. A true tropical fruit salad with papaya, guava and mango, incredibly moreish.

Overall : Caramelised bananas return on the finish, accompanied by a touch of cinnamon and pepper, orange peel, a little hazelnut and toasted granola.
