Nose : elegant. Sweet notes of butter, mandarin orange and flowers (lavender, violets) contrast with other, drier notes, such as charred wood, soot and citrus fruit zest. Glenmorangie’s spicy character is then given full expression.

Palate : lively, angular. Initially very ‘bourbonish’ (varnish, vanilla, pecans). Then develops dark fruit (blackberries, blueberries), with notes of honey and yeast. These are joined by flowers and spices.

Overall : mellow, creamy. Delicately woody, it reveals notes of toffee, mint and truffles. Fruity (black grapes), it also develops floral and spicy notes.
