PROFILE : This single malt reveals a silky and aromatic profile, featuring notes of honey, vanilla and flowers. After fifteen years of ageing in American white oak casks, approximately one third of the whisky is transferred into oloroso sherry casks to age for a further three years before the final blending.

Nose : The initial bouquet of the Glenmorangie 18 Years Old directly recalls the abundance of exquisite dishes that one would expect to find on the table at a harvest dinner. Creamy, sweet vanilla melts into citrus aromas (lemon, orange). Honey, walnuts and dates complete these autumnal sensations, accompanied by a beautiful floral bouquet of jasmine, narcissus, and geraniums. A dash of water reveals a sumptuous basket of ripe apricots, dates and hazelnuts.
Palate : Silk... A round, full-bodied aromatic profile with fresh grapefruit and oranges making way for delightful combination of luscious honey, flowers and walnuts from the Oloroso sherry casks in which this malt whisky has been aged. Voluptuous dates and figs recall autumn flavours and are accompanied by pleasant smoky notes.
