PROFILE : This rye whiskey displays a vivid and spicy profile, featuring notes of apple, pepper and caramel. It is crafted from a mash bill dominated by 70% rye, complemented by maize and malted barley, before being matured in charred new oak barrels.

DID YOU KNOW ? The name of the distillery takes the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a figure of the temperance movement at the root of Prohibition, whose stronghold of Evanston is ironically the current location of FEW Spirits.

Nose : full-bodied, concentrated. Right from the initial nose, the rye shines with its profound and mysterious beauty. Notes of raspberry from the distillate mingle with apricot stones, vanilla and spices (clove, cinnamon), which come from the new oak. Overall it is very clean, with great aromatic truth. Develops into notes of custard tart and vanilla cream.

Overall : long, assertive. With the same power of persuasion as the nose and the palate, the finish is characterised by notes of peanut butter and toffee. Next, pine resin and cough sweets provide its fresh, empyreumatic character. The retro-nasal olfaction evokes raspberry liqueur, and the empty glass exhales rye
