Since Sir Alexander Ramsay established the distillery in 1824 we’ve been going to extraordinary lengths to capture the purest expression of our whisky’s character. Located in the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorms, we don’t just use crystal clear mountain water as an ingredient, we drench our stills with it, cooling the copper so only the finest vapours rise. Aged in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels and finished in Tawny Port Pipes this whisky is extraordinary refined.
Nose : Over-ripe bananas, toasted bread, citrus fruit and plum, giving way to raisin, bitter chocolate, fig and spice.
Appearance : Ambre profond, reflets acajous
Palate : Spiced pear, coffee, caramelised orange and liquorice. Followed by black cherries and treacle with a finish of plum, demerara sugar and chocolate.
Overall : Aged in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels and finished in Tawny Port Pipes.
