This limited edition is the fourth installment in the annual “The Harvest” series, celebrating the meeting of the Cotswolds landscape, painting, and whisky. Each bottle in the Harvest series bears the signature of a talented artist, paying tribute to the beauty of the Cotswolds through the fusion of painting and whisky making. For this fourth installment, English painter Andrea Bates is featured. On the tube of this bottling, she illustrates the agricultural tradition of the Cotswolds, depicting rolling barley fields under a cloudy sky—a work that captures the very essence of this region. The name Wychwood Harvest, inspired by an ancient forest in the Cotswolds, evokes a deep and mysterious whiskey, much like the cloudy sky depicted on the tube. Made from a rare selection of port casks aged for nearly a decade, as well as bourbon casks, Wychwood Harvest is rich, expressive, and complex. The port casks dominate, offering intense notes of red fruit compote, blackcurrant, and black fruits, subtly balanced by the vanilla sweetness of the selected bourbon casks. A discreet touch of peat completes the picture, adding depth and distinction. The result is an aromatic and structured single malt, evoking the Cotswolds in late summer, between the warmth of the terroir and the mystery of the landscape.
