The fourth permanent reference of the English distillery, Cotswolds Sherry Cask is a blend of 4 types of sherry casks presented in raw cask.
It is made of ex-Spanish and American oak Oloroso casks, as well as ex-Pedro Ximenez oak casks of the same origins.
Like all Cotswolds whiskies, it is distilled from 100% local barley, malted in the traditional way.
Bottled in small batches in raw casks and resulting from a fermentation of nearly 4 days, this single malt is marked by the full aging exclusively in ex sherry casks with wonderful notes of dried fruits, sweet spices and black fruits.
A Cotswolds single malt even richer and fruitier than the average!
Nose : Caramelized and gourmet. Brown sugar, cherry pie, roasted coffee beans.
Palate : Rich and unctuous. Basket of black stone fruits, chocolate, roasted almonds.
Overall : Long and spicy. Notes of wood, pepper and dried fruits.
