Aged in second-fill barrels, this whisky incorporates a distillate from the first cuts of distillation. The signature character of the Clynelish distillery is enriched here with tropical notes thanks to a unique experiment: a cut of the distillate taken very early in the distillation process, when exotic notes dominate. We call it the “pineapple cut.” Aged for at least 18 years in second-fill casks, this single malt reveals notes of ripe, juicy pineapple that enhance the wax and honey characteristics of Clynelish. A bright and relaxed expression.

Nose : Smooth and dry, with a slightly minty freshness. Notes of tropical fruit salad dominated by lychee, mangosteen, pineapple, and melon, resting on a chalky mineral base that brings dryness. A few drops of water reveal an original nuance reminiscent of old vinyl.

Palate : Creamy and silky, marked by Clynelish's typical waxiness. The attack is slightly sweet and tangy, with a sunny character of perfectly balanced tropical fruits. The palate evolves with liveliness towards more power and warm spices.

Overall : Medium to long, spicy and warm, leaving a beautiful fruity freshness. With a little water, it becomes softer and subtly spicy.
