Chichibu Paris Edition 2026 is the result of a blend of first-fill and second-fill bourbon casks, hogsheads that previously contained Oloroso sherry, and virgin American white oak casks, ranging in age from six to twelve years. With an approachability that immediately won us over, its aromatic and flavor palette boasts a perfectly balanced profile. This desire to get straight to the essence highlights the hard work and talent of master blender Ichiro Akuto, the founder of the distillery. Color : or soutenu.

Nose : Fine, smooth. Supported by a pleasant, almost candied lemony acidity, the aromatic palette is also fruity (pear, mirabelle plum, coconut) and sap-like (pine resin, orgeat syrup). Upon breathing, subtle spicy aromas (ginger, nutmeg) fill the surrounding air.

Palate : Delicate, dynamic. In line with the spirit of the nose, it is both lemony and indulgent (apple jelly, candied pear). A beautiful herbaceous (alfalfa) and malty sequence follows, bringing great freshness to the palate. Then, a wealth of new fruits (white grape, medlar, yellow kiwi) arrives in abundance.

Overall : Smooth, full-bodied. Lactic (coconut, rice pudding), exotic (pineapple, plantain banana), and mineral (chalk), it shines with maturity and balance. Over time, flavors of liquorice stick, dried fruits (almond, cashew nut), and tropical flowers (geranium) gently spread across the taste buds.
