This whisky is a single malt from the Caol Ila distillery, located on the Isle of Islay. Selected by the bottler Elixir Distillers for The Single Malts of Scotland range, it was distilled on August 11, 2006, and bottled on July 7, 2025. This vintage was aged for 18 years in a Refill Hogshead (cask no. 307356). Bottled at cask strength at 51.6% ABV in a 70 cl format, this is a limited edition of only 268 bottles.

Nose : Age has mellowed Caol Ila's characteristic peat, offering a very elegant campfire smoke accompanied by sea spray, lime, and a delicate touch of beeswax.

Palate : The texture is oily and silky. The 51.6% ABV perfectly carries a balance of cold ashes, crisp white fruits (pear), citrus zest, and a hint of white pepper.

Overall : Long, fresh, and refreshing, it stretches out over mineral and saline notes with a persistent yet gentle smoke.
