BENRINNES Aged 15 Years ARTIST 10th Anniversary Signatory Vintage

Founded in 1826, the Benrinnes distillery was destroyed by a flood in 1829. Rebuilt the same year a few kilometres away, it was ravaged by a fire in 1896. Entirely rebuilt in 1956, it tripled its production capacity in 1966, going from two to six stills. Until 2007, it was one of the few distilleries in Scotland to practise triple distillation. By flirting with peat on the finish, this release shows Benrinnes in a somewhat unusual light. Bursting with naturalness and vitality, it prefers actions to long speeches in order to reach the goal it has set itself: to render as faithfully as possible the “old style” character of an intensely malty aromatic and flavour profile that gives itself up without detours or disguise.
