This Balblair, distilled in 1993, was aged for 30 years in first-fill Sherry puncheons before being bottled at its natural alcohol content of 54.20%. This rich, fruity Highland single malt opens with aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant and ginger. Founded in 1790 in the Scottish Highlands, Balblair is one of the oldest distilleries still in operation. Located in Edderton, near the Cromarty Firth, it benefits from a unique terroir that influences the character of its whiskies. Since its beginnings, Balblair has gone through many stages, including modernizing its production methods while retaining its traditional know-how. In 1996, it was relaunched under new owners and has continued to produce prestigious single malts.
