Founded in 1947, the Hachijo distillery hails from Hachijo Island, east of Tokyo. It is part of the Tokyo Islands archipelago. It produces a barley shochu (mugi shochu) based on barley koji. Cuvée Bakkan Nasakejima is a barley shochu from the Hachijo distillery, made from carefully selected raw materials and distilled under atmospheric pressure. The cereal is very present, with depth on the palate.
