Nose : Fine, balanced. Saline, rooty (gentian), empyreumatic, earthy (dry peat), iodine, and medicinal (ointment), the aromatic palette is gradually overlaid by intense smoke and notes of incense and soot. Upon aeration, the peat becomes increasingly rich and oily, while chocolate aromas permeate the atmosphere.

Palate : Straightforward, lively. In perfect continuity with the peaty, oily, and smoky notes of the nose, the flavor palette adds a fresh, minty and malty dimension. Then, flavors of 100% dark chocolate and orange zest highlight the beautiful influence of aging in sherry casks.

Overall : Both fresh and heady. Beautifully infused (black tea) and juicy (watermelon, melon), the finish is in turn covered in a thick veil of smoke (Havana). Rooty (ginseng), tangy (orange zest), and equally smooth (toffee), the retro-olfaction is a successful synthesis of nose and palate. Suggestive, the empty glass is intensely peaty and creamy (artichoke base).
