Nose : balanced, deep. Peat smoked chocolate, candied lemon and grapefruit, camphor. Remains true to its Islay heritage with sea spray and smoked fish. Roasted coffee and pipe tobacco.
Palate : firm, lively. Initially spiced with black and white pepper and clove before smoke and ash take over. Subtle liquorice in the mid-palate, becoming earthier and more saline as it unfurls. Chalk, fresh apples, pears and citrus fruits.
