AMRUT Two Indies Rum

Nose : Vegetal, fleshy. Its originality lies in the quality of the fruits it showcases. There are guavas, persimmons, Mirabelle plums, lemons, Golden apples, pineapples and kumquats. It becomes increasingly liquoricey, chocolatey and spicy (cloves, nutmeg). The whole forms a very compact and balanced block.

Palate : Greedy, silky. The same spices feed the attack on the palate. Then, make way for heady flowers (pepper rose, peony, gardenia). Luxuriant, exuberant, the mid-palate is full of fruit including bananas, pineapple, pears, Mirabelle plums and white currants. The finish evokes the slightly damp earth where sugar cane grows.

Overall : Tasty, balanced. It is refined to return to its origins, that is to say sugar cane. Its vegetal character takes over as it develops into notes of fresh tobacco and lime blossom. The retro-olfaction is deliciously vanilla and slightly amber. The empty glass is liquoricey and empyreumatic (bitumen, essential oils).
