Nagahama's non-peated malt and world peated malt are well blended and partly aged in Bourbon casks for additional maturation, which leads to complex layers of flavours with gorgeous smoky aromas.
Slightly Peated
Nose : Strong notes of baked apple and ripe peach, which then develop into fresher, mentholated aromas. This is followed by waves of toasted malt, a rather smoky peatiness and a hint of iodine.
Palate : Surprisingly fresh at first, reminiscent of juicy grapefruit, followed by smoky, roasted flavours.
Overall : Bittersweet, on cotton candy and wasanbon sugar (typically japanese), which melt delicately on the tongue.
