ENGLISH GIN: Ableforth's Bathtub Gin is a gin from England.

PROFILE: This gin reveals a rich and spicy profile, featuring notes of orange, juniper and cardamom. Produced in small batches, it is created from an initial redistillation followed by a cold infusion of juniper berries, citrus fruit, coriander, cinnamon and cloves.

DID YOU KNOW? Its name references 1920s American Prohibition, a time when bootleggers made illicit alcohol in bathtubs.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: This gin can be enjoyed chilled in a tulip glass. It works perfectly in a gin and tonic or gin fizz cocktail.

Nose : Fresh and bold juniper leads the way with fragrant citrus and cardamom. Notes of fresh orange peel and cinnamon add to an enticing nose.

Palate : Juniper again leads, but there’s plenty more besides. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy whilst the cloves, coriander and cardamom offer depth.

Overall : Here the supporting botanicals really shine with lingering cardamom and orange peel on the tail.
