VILANOVA Argile Réhoboam Caisse Bois

Vilanova Argile is Castan's second peated single malt, after Vilanova Terrocita. A non-chill-filtered single malt, it is aged in ex-red wine casks from 100% French vineyards. Peatier in character than Terrocita, Vilanova Argile is marked by iodine, salt and smoke notes. The peat is nonetheless balanced by highly malty flavors and a bouquet of fruits, notably red, characteristic of the red wine casks used. Intense and complex, Vilanova Argile offers a fine proposition for lovers of great peated whiskies, without forgetting the finesse characteristic of the Castan distillery. A wonderful discovery!
