The Sanchez distillery is a small family business that has been established for over 150 years in Candelaria Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca. For four generations, the Sanchez maestro mezcaleros have succeeded one another from father to son, crafting mezcales of exceptional quality. The Espadin agave is considered to be the ancestor of Sisal and the blue agave used to produce tequila. It is one of the few species of agave that can be cultivated, which is why it is the most widely used in mezcal production in Oaxaca. It produces typical, smoky, highly aromatic mezcales.
