Planteray Rum Gran Añejo is crafted from a blend of different rums from Guatemala and Belize, aged between 3 and 4 years in bourbon casks in the Caribbean, and then finished in used French oak casks at the Château de Bonbonnet. Highly rich, it is marked by notes of candied citrus and raisins, peony, passion fruit, and spices.

Nose : Intense, complex. Exotic fruits (banana, mango) set the tone. Tropical through and through, right down to the spices. It slowly merges into vanilla-inspired and vegetal (mint, oregano) notes.

Palate : Creamy, gourmand. Dark chocolate and clove make a stunning pair. Milky (coconut), it grows increasingly heady (tuberose, peony). Cardamom lends a breath of fresh air.

Overall : Long, tender. Noble wood and spices merge together. Tropical fruits soon take over: passion fruit, pineapple, guava. A pleasant earthy note appears in the retro-nasal olfaction.
