The Eaux-de-Vie d’Exception range represents the very best of the Nusbaumer distillery’s craftsmanship. These spirits are presented in an amber-colored bottle that protects them from light. Each bottle is sealed by hand in their workshops with a deeply colored wax medallion. Poire Williams Rouge is one of the flagship references of the distillery, notable for its unique production process and the use of a red-skinned pear variety — smaller, but exceptionally juicy and aromatic. This gives the eau-de-vie a concentrated aroma, with a powerful nose and a smooth, rounded palate. Both red and yellow Williams pears are macerated for three weeks in Poire Williams eau-de-vie from the Classique and Sélection ranges. After distillation, this exceptional spirit is reduced using spring water from Steige, renowned for its great purity, naturally filtered through Vosges schist.
