KOMAGATAKE 6 ans 2018 Oshi Dashi Tsunuki Aging Bourbon Barrel Itinéraires

Nose : Lavish and full-bodied. Saturated with smoke and omnipresent peat, the aromatic palette also exhales scents of candied fruit (lemon, pear), Bourbon vanilla, almond milk and fleur de sel. When left to aerate, medicinal notes (balsam), incense and artichoke bottoms give it a lively, creamy profile.

Palate : Strong and lively. The palate is more exotic (banana, pineapple), with peat and smoke slightly in the background. The mid-palate is very ethereal, with an absolutely delectable malty flavour journey (flan). As it progresses, its fruity character (pear, mirabelle plum) becomes more notable.

Overall : Refreshing and well-polished. A perfect convergence of nose and palate, the finish evolves at its own will from peaty and earthy to fruity and vanilla. As the palate moves back and forth, it becomes increasingly malty and tenderly herbaceous (cut hay, barley grain), enveloped in a deliciously briny and saline aura.
