KYRO Wood Smoke Malt Rye Whisky

The story of the Kyrö distillery began like a dream in a sauna. To honor the oldest type of Finnish sauna - the smoke sauna - we created Kyrö Wood Smoke, our expression of a delicately smoked 100% rye whisky. Following an ancient Nordic tradition, the rye used in Kyrö Wood Smoke has been brought into contact with alder smoke in a century-old “riihi” smoker. It is distilled in double pots and matured in ex-bourbon casks, new French oak and American white oak barrels, offering intense peppery, sweet caramel and vanilla notes enhanced by crisp alder smoke.
